                                Kansas’ Easter Poem

Jesus Christ, died for me
For that I am grateful for eternity
I once was a captive, held as a slave
To all things unkosher and depraved
I longed for a monumental kind of life
Living off the land with cattle and a Godly wife
I saw myself as a father one day
But I didn’t understand God’s complete plan
And with the help of a wonderful teaching
My mind was soon swayed
Deep inside I think I always knew
But the world keeps you blinded from all the wonders God has for you
Memories of pain began to surface
Things unmentionable that no one should have to face
But the Lord brought me through
His way is tried and true
If you decide to follow the highway of holiness
It will work for you too
You will be cleansed, healed, and renewed
It is never too late to begin again
“All things are redeemable”
Said a good friend
So I’ve taken up my cross and I follow him every day
I know my Lord will be faithful until the very end!
