Marriage and Divorce God's Leadership Part 2 Keeping Safe

Pastor Faith

Good Sunday Morning! You are only two inches away from being healed: one thought "changed" can bring your mind and your conscience to God to heal.

Marriage and Divorce

The Catholic church has a scriptural teaching on marriage and Divorce we can all learn from. Jesus said you can only really be married to one person. He told the Samaritan woman "you have had 5 husbands and the one you are living with now is not your husband."

Divorce is not "always" wrong if 2 people were never married: Marriage can be conceived by the devil or sin and then it becomes ill-gotten gain and be wrong!
1 Corinthians 7:15 (AMPC)

15 But if the unbelieving partner [actually] leaves, let him do so; in such [cases the remaining] brother or sister is not morally bound. But God has called us to peace.
A lot of people get mad at men who divorce their wives and have a midlife crisis without seeking God's help.

In order to enter into a "Holy" Marriage, both parties must be free from sin, forgiven, and led by the "Holy" Spirit.

In order to be divorced in the Catholic Church legitimately, you have to prove you were never married "honestly" in the first place.

Most people marry for the wrong reason: a child out of wedlock is usually a forced marriage. Some people marry for money, some because they can dominate and control who they are marrying, some because they "lust" after each other. Some fall deeply "in Love" or are enamored with the other person- they just "have" to have the other person and will do anything! to "own" or possess them.

None of those are the right reason to get married.

Marriage gone into legitimately is when both people are not under the "spell" or lies of sin but are already clean in heart, mind and spirit and obey the leadership of Jesus Christ as their "King".

Jesus is head of the man and the woman, then joins the man and the woman. They become one by the power of the Holy Spirit in marriage to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have children in obedience to the Word of God to fulfill the commandment to go out into the world and make disciples of others, and the commandment to multiply and have children. The two become one.

If this isn't the case then Jesus could walk up to you one day and say "the person you are with isn't your spouse!" Like he did the Samaritan woman.

People must marry knowing and using all their "higher" moral faculties or it is coercion either by a person who is lead by sin or sin inside themselves.

Next, a God ordained marriage ceremony is to be performed by a minister who also is lead by God, knowing he is responsible to God and the community to only join people in marriage who are both "holy" and pure, so the children are "clean" also.

Marriage is to be holy and undefiled! A man or woman cannot stay with a person who has fallen into sexual or verbal sin- be it through bad language, arguing, fighting, violence, lust, perversion, adultery, pornography, etc. For this would defile the innocent spouse and children also. Protecting the children is the first responsibility.

Children need love and peace in the home! No wars, no violence. Sin is violence.

Children are easily hurt by others around them.

One traumatic thing could destroy a child's

life. "We have all experienced this, "dysfunctional families syndrome." God's love and power in the home protects, heals, restores and keeps the whole family "safe".

God loves us and sent Jesus to die so we can be free from the suffering and mental problems, (which also cause sicknesses and diseases), sin causes.

Repent, draw near to God and seek first his kingdom, his will, his righteousness, his healing balm and restoration.

1 John 3…8 The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil can be distinguished: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.…

1 Corinthians 7:13-15New International Version (NIV)

13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
