Isaiah 58 Ministries Passover, April 15, 2014
Pastor: Leah Svensson
Scriptures: Acts 2:1-21, Joel 2:10-13, Revelations 6:12-17
"This first blood moon is the beginning of events for the next year and a half. Great things are going to be happening for those who want to get back to the land, farming, clean air, clean water, clean soil and clean hearts."
"The Noah movie is symbolic about what is happening. People are going to love the earth again and get away from giant houses, and beautiful lawns and giant neighborhoods, big cities just polluting everything where bulldozers come in and destroy the earth."
Blood Moon
What is all the fuss over an eclipse of the Moon? In the Bible it is well known that God uses Astronomy, the stars, heaven, to show times and seasons of what he is doing. When Jesus was born wise men knew his star in the heavens marked where he was and they followed the star to him. Before the modern electronic age people have always used the stars and moon to guide them. Farmers plan when to plant and harvest according to the moon. "Wise" people understand the "heavens" were made by God as another way for God to speak and lead mankind. So if you seek wisdom from God- start to farm...
Only a few people knew Jesus was born and only one city knew when he died. But these events changed the "Entire World" it changed mankind and men were reconciled back into a relationship with God. As you can see God prophesy years before things happen. When "Jesus is Reveled" , (Revelations), to people they are reconciled back to God. This is when Fathers love their children and children love their fathers. (Malachi)
Acts 2 The Coming of the Holy Spirit
1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” 12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” 13 But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”
Peter’s Sermon at Pentecost
Saint Peter Movie |
17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
18 even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
20 the sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,
before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’
Revelations 6
12 When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. 14 The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. 15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
Joel 2
10 The earth quakes before them;
the heavens tremble.
The sun and the moon are darkened,
and the stars withdraw their shining.
11 The LORD utters his voice
before his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
he who executes his word is powerful.
For the day of the LORD is great and very awesome;
who can endure it?
Return to the LORD
12 “Yet even now,” declares the LORD,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the LORD your God,
